OddityRC XI35 Pro O4 Pro: A 6S Cinewhoop for Your Filming Workflow

OddityRC XI35 Pro HD O4 Pro 6S 3.5-inch cinewhoop

The OddityRC XI35 Pro HD O4 Pro Version 6S is a 3.5-inch cinewhoop with DJI O4 Air Unit Pro included. It uses Spinnybois 2006 2150KV motors, an OddityRC F7 40A AIO and HQ DT90-3 propellers. It is worth considering when your filming plan calls for a guarded aircraft and you want to evaluate both onboard recording and a separate action-camera setup.

Planning a filming aircraft means deciding what the complete rig must do: carry the chosen camera, fit the route, deliver usable footage and remain straightforward to prepare between flights. Here is how the XI35's current configuration fits that process.

XI35 Pro O4 Pro 6S specifications

XI35 Pro HD O4 Pro Version 6S
Item Listed specification
Wheelbase 152mm
Dimensions 213 × 213 × 40mm
Main / bottom plate thickness 3.5 / 2mm
Listed weight without battery 312.6g

Recommended battery 6S 1100–1300mAh

The 312.6g figure excludes the battery. Add the weight of your actual pack and any extra camera or mounting accessories when planning the aircraft. It is not a ready-to-fly weight or a payload specification.

Choose between two recording workflows

Workflow one: use the included O4 Pro for the recorded shot. This keeps the recording plan centred on the fitted video system. Test the image, angle and selected recording mode on a short route before adding equipment.

Workflow two: mount a separate action camera. The XI35 listing states that it can mount a GoPro. Confirm the exact camera, mount and resulting total mass before treating that as the setup for a job. A mounting provision does not supply a verified maximum payload or a guaranteed flight duration.

The route, desired framing and post-production workflow should decide which approach you use. Compare the output files under the conditions that matter to your work. There is little value in carrying an extra camera if you do not need its recording characteristics for that shot.

DJI's O4 Air Unit FAQ is also useful when checking existing equipment: O3 and O4 accessories are only partly interchangeable. Do not assume an old camera module or coaxial cable transfers to an O4 setup.

What to check about the 6S power setup

Start with the listed 6S 1100–1300mAh range, then check the pack's connector, dimensions and secure placement. Keep the battery, straps and leads clear of the propellers. Check balance with the action camera fitted if that is how you intend to fly.

A larger capacity figure is not a measured endurance result. Battery mass, propellers, camera load, flying style and conditions all change the outcome. Establish flight duration with conservative repeatable flights using your actual setup, and log which pack and camera arrangement produced each result.

Likewise, do not infer a wind limit or a payload limit from the 3.5-inch size or the motor dimensions. The current listing provides configuration details; it does not publish a validated result for every filming load.

Plan the support kit alongside the aircraft

The package lists the drone, 3.5-inch cinematic propellers, a spare screw kit and a spare prop guard. Know which spares match your exact version before a trip. Inspect the guard, propellers and camera mount after an impact, including anything that might rub or become loose.

The product page also links printable parts. For firmware work, its current instruction is to contact support for the configuration file that matches the hardware. Save your working settings before a change. A preset from another XI35 generation is not automatically the correct file for this aircraft.

Select PNP, ELRS 2.4G, ELRS 915M or TBS Nano RX according to your control setup. PNP means the customer installs a receiver. Confirm goggles compatibility separately from the receiver choice.

Frequently asked questions

Does this XI35 include the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro?

Yes. The XI35 Pro HD O4 Pro Version 6S discussed here includes the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro.

Can I buy the aircraft without another O4 Pro?

Yes. The separate XI35 Pro without O4 Pro listing explicitly excludes that video system.

Is 312.6g the takeoff weight?

No. It is the listed weight without a battery. Weigh the complete filming configuration before comparing takeoff weights.

Where do I start with a filming build?

Choose the XI35 receiver and colour configuration, then plan the battery and recording equipment around your intended shot.
