OddityRC XI25 Pro O4 Pro: Plan the Aircraft Around Your Shot

OddityRC XI25 Pro HD O4 Pro 2.5-inch cinewhoop

The OddityRC XI25 Pro HD O4 Pro is a 2.5-inch cinewhoop for pilots planning a compact digital filming setup. The current listing includes DJI O4 Pro, with separate 4S 4800KV and 6S 3200KV power configurations. Its approximate ready-to-fly weight is 320g, depending on the battery, receiver and fitted accessories.

The practical question is how the aircraft fits your shot. Battery mass, camera equipment and the gear you already own can matter more than choosing a version from the cell-count label alone. This introduction explains what to include in that decision.

The 4S/6S title describes purchase configurations. It does not mean that the supplied motor and battery combinations can be interchanged without checking the complete setup.

Use takeoff weight when planning your aircraft

Use approximately 320g as the XI25 O4 Pro's ready-to-fly planning reference, then weigh your own setup. A dry-weight figure cannot tell you the mass of an aircraft carrying your battery and camera equipment. Keep those two measurements separate when comparing products.

Weigh the aircraft with everything attached: battery, straps, receiver, antenna arrangement, camera mounts and any extra camera. Record the pack model as well as its capacity. This gives you a repeatable baseline when assessing a different battery or accessory.

Within the recommended range, a larger-capacity pack adds stored energy and also changes mass and balance. Treat flight duration as something to establish on your own route and setup rather than assuming a fixed number from capacity alone. Keep the first comparison consistent: same props, same camera load and similar flying conditions.

Start with the recording workflow you actually need

The included O4 Pro lets you plan around onboard recording before deciding whether to mount another camera. DJI lists D-Log M and RockSteady options, and support for a Gyroflow workflow with stabilization off. Check the applicable recording settings in DJI's O4 Pro specifications.

The XI25 listing also identifies mounting options for Insta360, naked GoPro and Action2 cameras. Check the exact camera and mount rather than treating that list as a payload rating. An extra camera changes the setup that produced your baseline weight and flight behaviour.

For a planned shot, set camera angle and framing first, then test a short route. Review both the live-view composition and recorded file. If you change the battery or camera position, check balance and framing again before repeating the route.

The product lists HQProp DT63-3V2, DT63-4 and DT63-5 propeller options. Follow the selected build's specification and change one variable at a time when evaluating alternatives; blade count alone does not establish which propeller will produce your preferred result.

Make the ordering choices work together

  1. Choose the power configuration. Match the selected cell count, motor KV and recommended battery range.
  2. Choose the connector. Confirm whether your intended pack uses XT30 or XT60 before selecting the aircraft variant.
  3. Match the receiver to the radio. Options are PNP, ELRS 2.4G, ELRS 915M and TBS Nano RX. PNP has no receiver; you install your own.
  4. Check goggles separately. Use DJI's current compatibility information for your exact model.

The listed package contains the drone, 2.5-inch cinematic propellers and a spare screw kit. The battery, charger and viewing/control equipment need their own place in your budget.

Frequently asked questions

Is the XI25 O4 Pro a sub-250g aircraft?

The current ready-to-fly reference is approximately 320g. Do not describe this configuration as sub-250g; measure your complete aircraft for its actual takeoff weight.

Does PNP exclude DJI O4 Pro?

No. PNP means no receiver is included. The O4 Pro-included listing and the listing without the video system are separate choices.

Should I add an external action camera immediately?

First check whether the included O4 Pro's recording workflow meets your shot requirements. Add a camera only after checking the exact mount, total weight and behaviour of the resulting setup.

Where can I choose my configuration?

Select your XI25 Pro power, connector and receiver options and check the current availability for that combination.
